Deep-Tech:
Startups based on advanced scientific research and innovations in engineering that are looking to solve our world’s most urgent and difficult problems. Typically, these startups are spinouts of research institutions and government funded research activities. (SBIR/STTR) https://www.sbir.gov/
Industry Transformations:
Startups tackling specific challenges for an industry. (i.e. Innovative transformations in manufacturing, automation, supply chain, etc.)
Social Innovation:
Startups building innovations through a community engagement lens to provide sustainable social impact. These startups are designed with, by, and/or for the community, where the community is the foundation of discovery and implementation.
